The Expert Methodology Program officially opens 28 Dec 2023 for a 1 Jan 2024 start (but before then, you can join as a Founders Member at a special discounted price and get early access to the Core Curriculum).

The program includes:
A Quick Start module that gets you up to speed fast on the main concepts of the program and creating your first iteration of your Expert Methodology in days. If you already have a methodology, this process will help you to review it and see ways you can improve it.
The Core Curriculum of 12 modules that deep dive into each part of your Expert Methodology, giving you specific tools, models, concepts and activities to make your methodology EPIC (see below for a more detailed breakdown of the curriculum). These modules are all available once you’ve completed onboarding and the Quick Start so you can choose to do all of them or focus on the specific modules that you need in any order you want. And don’t worry about sitting through long online videos - we keep them short and actionable so you can focus on developing and improving your Expert Methodology.
Monthly Missions to level up your Expert Methodology. Each month, we’ll focus in on a specific part of your Expert Methodology or a specific system or expert asset that you can create - then you’ll have community support and momentum to get it done!
Quarterly Capstone Guides to take your Expert Methodology even further with more expansive projects. For example, creating your Signature Program or your Expert Book. These guides will give you a framework, along with curated resources and expert contacts that can provide further support.
A Program Library where you can find past Monthly Missions and Quarterly Capstone Guides. We’ll be adding to this with more content during the program.
Expert Directory of curated tools, resources and services to extend your expert growth. Expert Methodology members will also be invited to add their expert services to the directory.

Define your key CONCEPTS that lead or support your methodology (we share helpful patterns and special framework to make it easy to create your own conceptual models)
Identify and design YOUR TOOLS that support and elevate your Expert Methodology (you'll get an ideas inspiration list as well as examples for high value tools that you can easily incorporate).
Articulate YOUR PHILOSOPHY that underpins your Expert Methodology and captures your values and principles. You'll learn how to turn these seemingly airy ideas into concrete assets.
Get clear on YOUR KNOWLEDGE that supports your Expert Methodology. You'll reflect on your knowledge base and identify knowledge assets that you can create to support you and your clients.
Design YOUR FRAMEWORK to package up your Expert Methodology and make it EPIC! You'll learn simple but powerful ways to create memorable frameworks that stand out and get used.
Modules 9-12
Develop YOUR BRANDING for your Expert Methodology. You'll name your methodology (we'll share our naming cheatsheet to make this easy). You'll also develop your Expert Methodology style guide and messaging.
Design and Set Up YOUR SYSTEM to deliver your Expert Methodology confidently and reliably. Including a special system especially for those who do speaking and training.
Learn how you can USE YOUR EXPERT METHODOLOGY to easily create new products, services and promotional assets. You'll practise a clever technique that leverages your Expert Methodology to turn you into a creative powerhouse. Plus you'll get an everlasting cheatsheet that you can use again and again to brainstorm ideas.
Learn how to IMPROVE YOUR EXPERT METHODOLOGY so that it keeps getting better. We'll also look at ways to nurture yourself as an expert (not just your methodology) and practise self-care.
Expert Methodology includes emerging experts from all across the globe, so flexibility is a key design principle for the program. Expert Methodology is not a cohort based course where you are required to complete certain modules at a set time. Everyone’s business and life is different, so we’re not going to require you to fit into one fixed schedule to get the most out of Expert Methodology.
All program modules are available online so you can go through them when it suits you. You can pause, rewatch and customise the curriculum to fit your needs.
The Quick Start Module gets you quickly on top of the key parts of the Expert Methodology framework and creating your first version of your methodology (or reviewing an existing one) - so you can then choose to go through the Core Curriculum sequentially or select a few areas to focus on instead.
The Monthly Missions and Quarterly Capstones focus on specific, high value deliverables - and it's your choice if you want to do them (you can always find past ones in the Program Library if you want to do any later).
The community is an open space to get support and feedback whenever you need, whatever part of the program you’re implementing.
You’ll start the program with the Expert Methodology Quick Start Module. You’ll get introduced to the main concepts of the program and implement them to create your first version of your Expert Methodology in days (not months).
Then once you have your starting Expert Methodology created, you can then go through the Core Curriculum at your own pace or choose specific areas to focus on, as well as take up Monthly Missions and Quarterly Capstones. There’s a lot of depth to the Core Curriculum and we encourage you to use the whole year of the program to develop and enrich your Methodology.
If you already have a methodology coming into this program, the Quick Start Module will help you to efficiently review it and identify ways you can improve it.
Each month (Jan - Nov), there will be a community mission to ship a specific deliverable to level up your Expert Methodology. This could be a part of your Expert Methodology or an expert system or an expert asset. Get it done with the support and momentum of the Expert Methodology community!

This program was designed primarily for self-employed professionals and professional service business owners who want an extended supportive space to develop or improve their expert methodology and expertise.

Much of the program will also be relevant to those who want to develop and systemise their expertise for their independent careers in professional services. However, please note that this program does not cover or support career building in organisations. The focus is very much on owning your expertise as your business or as an independent expert.
Who is this program not for?
This program won’t be as helpful to individuals and businesses outside of professional services or non-service based businesses.
We also reserve the right to cancel and refund program registrations that we feel are not a good fit for the program and community. For example, we do not accept registrations that involve real estate speculation, gambling, crypto, dieting or anything that disadvantages or harms marginalised groups in any way.

Each quarter in 2024, we’ll release a new Capstone Guide to support you taking on a bigger initiative to expand your Expert Methodology. Any previously released Capstone Guides will be available in the Program Library.

Note that this is a group program so it doesn’t include dedicated 1-1 support.
This program is primarily designed for self-employed service business owners (consultants, coaches, trainers, freelancers and agency owners) but a lot of the program will also be relevant to those who want to develop and systemise their expertise more generally, including for their career.
Please note though that we do not cover or support organisational career building at all - instead, we focus on owning your expertise and leveraging it as an independent expert so you will need to adapt the content and activities for your own context if your goal is different.

We want everyone who enrols in the program to love it so we’ll be completely honest if we don’t think the fit is right for you.
Our onboarding process is an opportunity to check that you’re set up on our course platform and can use any tech involved. We’ll help you out if not!
But rest assured, the course platform we use is very simple and just needs connection to the internet and a browser (like Chrome, Safari or Firefox).
Some of our program activities may involve other apps - but we aim to have multiple options to cater for a range of tech skills. For example, our workbooks are available in PDF to print as well as Google Docs.
The Quick Start module can easily be completed in a week or less (or over a few weeks if you don’t have much spare time) - this will get you on top of the key concepts of the Expert Methodology framework and completing the first version of your Expert Methodology.
Then it’s up to you how you want to approach the rest of the program’s content and activities. If you were able to put aside a few hours each week, you can complete one Core Curriculum each week - the course videos are kept short and action focused so you can spend most of your time implementing, not watching content. But this is deep work so often members prefer to spread this out over a longer time (e.g. half a year or the full year). Alternatively, you can choose to only focus on specific modules as you need.
The Monthly Missions are completely optional and are designed to give you high value outcomes without having to spend a lot of time on them.
The Quarterly Capstones are also optional. These are more expansive projects so it’s really up to you how much time you want to spend on them.
We have members all across the world so this program has been designed so everyone can participate no matter what timezone they’re in.
All program modules will be made available on our online course platform, which you can access at any time and work through them when it's best for you.
Our community is online and so you can post questions, requests for feedback and celebrate your wins at any time.
If any live events are scheduled, they will either have alternative times or they will be recorded if appropriate.
Yes! We offer refunds for the first 14 days or once you’ve completed the Quick Start module, whichever occurs first.
